Roll out the red carpet and get those cameras ready! Katie Holmes stole the spotlight as she and her new boyfriend staged their very first red carpet appearance. At 33, musician Bobby Wooten III turned heads stepping out with the 43-year-old actress, noted Page Six. 

But rather than avoid the photographers, the two happily posed together. The event, the Moth Ball’s 25th Anniversary Gala, took place at Spring Studios in New York City. And Katie looked stunning in an orange frock by Jonathan Simkhai. Her colorful outfit contrasted beautifully with Wooten’s choice of a green Paul Smith suit.

As for how to handle their red carpet debut? Holmes and Wooten opted for PDA! The actress and musician kissed during their appearance. And Katie even put her hand in her new boyfriend’s pants. Joining them: Holmes’ mom Kathy. She seemed well-acquainted with Holmes’ replacement for her former boyfriend, chef Emilio Vitolo Jr.

During her romance with Chef Emilio, Katie and the 34-year-old chef frequently enjoyed PDA throughout New York. But after months together, the actress decided to split. And an insider revealed the reason. 

“Katie has a lot of big priorities in her life,” explained the source. “She’s a single mom, her daughter [Suri] always comes first, and things were moving very fast.” But Holmes has repeatedly gone through the get-together, break-up romance cycle since splitting from Tom Cruise. 

However, her decision to take her romance with Wooten to the red carpet hints that Katie hopes for a longer relationship this time around. And the actress showed her support for Bobby as the musician served as presenter for the Storyteller of the Year Award, noted In Style. “I’m happy to have [Katie] here as my date,” shared Wooten. And an insider revealed that the two appeared “comfortable” as a couple while “acting like they’ve been dating a long time.”

Another source shared some background on the new couple. “Katie and Bobby have been dating for a few months and it’s been going great. Both Katie and Bobby are low key and easy going. The two are busy with their own things, Katie acting and being a mother and Bobby with his music, recently playing at Coachella,” added the insider. As a result, the two “cherish the time they get together. Although they haven’t been dating too long, they’re really into each other.”
