Kelly Ripa Accuses Husband Mark Consuelos And Their Kids Of Running Away From Her When She Was Sick

Every family has probably gone through internal “social distancings” every once in a while. You can’t tell me someone in the family hasn’t ever caught a cough and you’re running like you’re being chased by a hyena whenever you see them approaching. It’s all part of the fun of living with family, or even people in general.

The thing is, it’s not always nice on the sufferer to find other people treat them so, and Kelly Ripa recently went through it with her family. You can guess she wasn’t exactly excited about it.

On Monday, December 4, Kelly Ripa returned to “Live” after being MIA the previous week. During her return, she was greeted by a round of applause she appreciated so much that she decided to tell her audience why she missed out on last week’s episode.

After declaring herself “1000% better,” she added, “I never appreciate how healthy I am until I’m not,” she said. “And then, I’m such a baby and such an angry patient.”

A little later, Kelly and Mark, who agreed that his wife was really sick, got into an argument on stage regarding her latest sickness.

“You come down[stairs], and everybody kind of starts backing away, and you get upset,” Mark said. “You get offended — we don’t want to get sick.”

Kelly, clarifying that she wasn’t offended, did admit that it felt like her family was “harassing” her by treating her that way. “I’m so conscientious about spreading viruses in my house [that] I came downstairs in surgical gloves and a mask, so spare me all of your ‘she’s going to get me sick’ because guess what? One of you got me sick,” she said.

Before the argument could get out of hand, Mark jumped in and said the sweetest thing. It was so sweet that Kelly couldn’t help but not be angry anymore.

He said: “I finally slept back in bed last night, and it was so nice. I do not sleep without you in bed. I don’t.” That’s over two decades of marriage people.
