Kelly Ripa Reveals Marriage Drama With ‘Insanely Jealous’ Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos often use their Instagram platforms to flaunt their affection. But in a new podcast, talk show host Kelly confessed that she faced challenges in her marriage. And the difficulties stemmed from Mark’s jealous behavior.

Kelly Ripa – Reveals Hubby Mark Consuelos’ Jealousy!

Mark Consuelos takes center stage in a new podcast from talk show host Kelly Ripa. And the All My Children actress doesn’t hold back in calling out her hubby for turning their marriage into a series of challenges. A preview clip of Kelly’s new Sirius XM podcast shows Ripa dishing on Mark, noted Page Six.

And the All My Children actress got blunt in her podcast, titled Let’s Talk Off Camera. “It’s very hard being married to somebody who is jealous,” Ripa admitted. And she described Consuelos’ jealousy as a “hard pill to swallow.” However, for those who wondered why Kelly would marry someone so jealous, Ripa revealed the timeline. 

And the talk show host shared that Mark unveiled his jealousy just days after their wedding. “We went to this Italian restaurant,” recalled Kelly. “And the waiter was this very cute old man. He was definitely in his 70s if not 80s,” added Ripa. “And he leaned down and he said, ‘And for the principessa?’” That question followed by Ripa‘s “very smiley” order to the waiter triggered Mark into picking “a horrible fight” with his wife.

Mark Consuelos – Felt ‘Insane’ At 25!

However, Kelly’s hubby feels that his age caused his jealous behavior. And though Mark recalls causing that fight, Consuelos now feels he seemed “pretty insane” at age 25. But he admitted that he struggled with his “jealousy thing for a while.”

Mark replaced Ryan Seacrest as the co-host of Ripa’s talk show, Live With Kelly. And both he and his wife shared that Consuelos has grown out of his jealousy. “I’m so grateful that you’re not [jealous anymore],” added the Live With Kelly talk show host. But she recalled even “praying” for her husband to “lose this personality flaw” before he grew out of it. 

And after moving past that jealousy phase, Mark and Kelly don’t hold back on showing their love. For instance, both Consuelos and Ripa use their social media to post flattering photos and PDA pics. And Kelly celebrated their marriage with a tattoo of their wedding date, May 1, 1996. The All My Children actress and her hubby co-parent Michael, 25, Lola, 21, and Joaquin, 19.
