Kevin Costner Shares He’s In A “Horrible Place” Amid Divorce Hearing With Wife Christine Baumgartner

The star of “Yellowstone” Kevin Costner speaks out amid the two-day divorce hearing with his ex Christine Baumgartner.

It so happened that Christine is seeking a $40,000 plus increase on the temporary $129,755 child support fees which Kevin was to pay monthly according to the Judge’s order in July.

The increase amounted to $175,057 but she later reduced it to $161,592 per month. Christine’s attorneys are of the opinion that Kevin has more money than he’s stating and they made it known in court. Kevin replied to the accusation with, “Oh good, we’ll have to have a treasure hunt to find it.”

During a lunch break, the actor stepped out of the courtroom and told the press outside “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at. It feels so bad. We’re talking about somebody I love on the other side… I just can’t.” Kevin also answered a question about his feelings for his ex. When asked if he still loves Christine he answered, “Of course.”

The judge later lowered Kevin’s child support fees to $63,209 per month but Kevin is concerned that the child support is higher than his children’s means, “My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for the needs of Christine.” The couple share kids, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.

According to Christine’s attorneys, Christine is demanding such a huge amount because the kids are used to the rich lifestyle and she wants to maintain such lifestyle for them whenever they’re with her.

“Because the children fly on private aircraft to go on luxury vacations when they are with their father, the Family Code dictates that Kevin should pay sufficient child support to Christine so that the children can go on comparable vacations when they are with her,” wrote Christine’s lawyers.

“This is true even if the child support payments also improve Christine’s lifestyle.” They went on to add, “In this case, the guideline child support requested by Christine of $175,057 per month will not be sufficient to replicate Kevin’s lifestyle, but it will be sufficient to allow her to provide a lifestyle for the children which is relatively comparable.”

Kevin and Christine were married for 18 years before announcing their split. At the time, a rep for the actor said in a statement, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
