But despite those pleading messages from the rapper, Kim “just wants to move forward with the divorce,” shared the source. “There is no way her marriage to Kanye will ever work. She did everything she could for her marriage to work. She is ready to move on.” And in the 41-year-old mom’s mind, Kim views herself as enjoying life as a single woman.

“She considers herself single. She focuses on her kids and work. She has so many things that she is grateful for,” added the insider. Although Kardashian remains aware of Kanye’s “promises and pleas” to reconcile, she doesn’t plan to change her mind. Kim feels “very happy and comfortable being single,” summed up the source.

How Does Kim Kardashian Feel About Kanye West?

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s relationship dates back to 2012, when they first began to date. In 2014, the couple wed. And they welcomed four children: Two daughters (North, 8, and Chicago, 3½) and two sons (Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2½). But staying with her husband reportedly became increasingly challenging for Kim. As a result, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star filed for divorce last February.

That decision to file for divorce came only after a long period of deliberation, says an insider. Kardashian “realized a long time ago that this marriage will never work,” added the source. Now, Kim feels “really happy and in a great place again and it took a while to get there. She wants to go out and have fun and she finally feels light and free.”

When the divorce becomes finalized, the insider predicted that Kardashian will feel that a “huge weight” got “lifted off her shoulder.” But the source also shared some surprising revelations about how Kim feels toward Kanye. She does not want to hurt him by filing for divorce, and she actually now views the estranged couple as representing a business, said the insider.

Kardashian “still looks at them as a brand,” explained the source. “They still have so many businesses tied together. She respects and values his opinion on things.” But that respect doesn’t change her desire to move forward with the divorce, according to the insider.
