Kim Kardashian, no stranger to controversy and heckling, is now being accused of ripping off her Meta Gala look from one of Kanye West’s exes.

According to The Sun, fans and critics alike think the Keeping Up with The Kardashians star ganked her fashion idea from Kanye West’s ex, Amber Rose. People have been commenting that the 43-year-old socialite’s Meta Gala outfit, with the blonde hair and gold dress, looked awfully similar to Amber’s outfit from 8 years ago in 2014. Kardashian dazzled the crowd at the Meta Gala, sporting blonde hair pulled tight against her head and a $5,000,000 nude dress that was first worn by the late Marilyn Monroe. Unfortunately, ever-present critics of the billionaire socialite were quick to point out that Amber Rose wore a strikingly similar outfit years earlier at the Grammys.

The American model and television personality rocked a platinum blond buzz cut and wore a sleek gold and cream-colored dress. The entire ensemble did very much resemble the one worn by both Marilyn Monroe and Kardashian.

Amber Rose dated Kanye West between 2008 and 2011. The two also attended the Met Gala together in 2009, though Rose wore a striking red dress on that occasion. It was, however, five years later at the 2014 Grammys that the TV personality sported the look that critics feel Kardashian borrowed.

One critic of the Kardashians alum took to Reddit to express their vexation over the mix-up, writing sarcastically, “Amber Rose attends the Met Gala.” There were others on the thread that fully agrees with the comparison.

Another fan chimed in, writing, “Omggggg she does look like Amber,” and another took it even further, attacking Kim more personally, writing, “Amber is prettier/younger/looks more ‘real’.” Other critics claimed the Skims founder was “a copycat Marilyn” and said she looked “uncomfortable” in the dress as she tried to ascend the stairs.

Kim Kardashian – Reveals Her Diet Struggle

Kardashian told Vogue last month that she had a struggle trying to fit into the icon Marilyn Monroe’s dress. She and Pete Davidson jetted to Orlando, Florida to snag the dress from its previous owners, Ripley’s Believe it or Not!.

“I had this idea to try it on and then they came with armed guards and gloves,” Kardashian said. Apparently, the dress was a bit tight but that didn’t stop the mother of four from stuffing herself into it.
