The brouhaha began when Kourtney and Travis partnered with Daring Foods to advertise vegan chicken. And the company posted that partnership on Instagram.

“Make way, Daring lovers on the move. @kourtneykardash @travisbarker,” wrote the vegan chicken company in the caption. The photo featured Kourtney holding tightly to an enormous bag of Daring food. And Travis did his part by toting a big bucket of piled high with vegan chicken. The company also shared a Twitter pic of the two eating Daring food.

In the comment section, the company spiced up the ad with a flood of hash tags. “#daring #daringfoods #daringchicken #eatdaring #plantchicken #vegan #veganfood #kourtneykardashian #travisbarker #kravis #kardashian.” However, the use of Kourtney and Travis sparked a slew of slams. And critics didn’t hesitate to share exactly why they disliked that ad. 

Kourtney Kardashian – Vegan Chicken Ad Brews Backlash

Known as Kravis (Kourtney plus Travis), the newlyweds received hate messages over their vegan chicken ad. For instance, one critic noted, “I like your vegan chicken. But detest your use of these kind of people.” And another added, “You picked the worst people for your campaign. The value of your food just went down A LOT!!!!!”

However, the Twitter post showing Travis feeding Kourtney sparked an even stronger backlash. For example, one follower complained, “And this is gross. Why would you think this would be appetizing? 🤮” And Barker also generated slams for re-posting the photo on his own Instagram.

But some saw the humor in the situation. “Nothing more romantic than breaded plant chicken,” joked one commentator. However, some analyzed Kourtney’s style. As a result, one wrote, “It’s sad to see that she changed her whole wardrobe to fit in with him 😢.” And several agreed. Kardashian used to wear “beautiful light colors,” pointed out another fan. “And I feel like her man might be changing her. But I can tell she is trying hard.”
