A midnight wedding ceremony following an elopement to Las Vegas (also known as Sin City). Throw in an Elvis impersonator to officiate at a location called the One Love Chapel. And that wedding seems like the ultimate spotlight-stealing celebrity wedding of 2022! Just one problem. Some hint that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s wedding ceremony may not count as a legal affair.

And insiders got blunt in talking with Page Six about the KUWTK star’s wedding to the drummer. As a result of failing to get a marriage license, the ceremony doesn’t qualify as legal, say the sources. However, Kourtney and Travis did go through with tying the knot in Las Vegas following their Grammy appearance.

“They had a ceremony,” admitted one source. “But on paper it’s not legal yet.” And the county’s records for marriage licenses and certificates confirm that the lovebirds neither applied for nor received any official documents. However, that lack of an official marriage license didn’t stop Kourtney and Travis from going all-out for their supposedly sham ceremony!

But though that wedding may represent a sham, Kourtney Kardashian made sure it overflowed with Vegas traditions. For instance, the reality TV star reportedly demanded an Elvis Presley officiant. And overall, kudos to Kourtney for finding a fun way to steal the celebrity wedding spotlight! As for what the future holds?

Watch for the 42-year-old KUWTK star and 46-year-old drummer to stage other ceremonies with just as much “fanfare,” say sources. But Kourtney may value her wedding day more than Travis. This marks her first marriage. However, Travis will wed for the third time after a romantic proposal in October 2021. 

As a result of previous relationships, the lovebirds’ children could get involved in future ceremonies. For instance, Kardashian and her baby daddy Scott Disick co-parent three children.
