Kylie Jenner’s Make-Up Brand Gets Slandered By Fans As ‘Cheap’ And ‘Childish’ After Launching New Products

Early last week, the Kylie Cosmetics founder shared several photos of her latest lip gloss, Gloss Drip.

The pictures of the lip gloss which looked every bit alluring and came in all shades were posted to promote and tell fans its launch date.

In one of the pictures, Kylie adorned an all-nude ensemble, and let her wet black hair cover one part of her eye while she pouted her lips to display the nude shade of Gloss Drip she wore on her lips.

The other pictures featured different models of different complexions rocking different shades of Gloss Drip on their lips to show which shade is perfect for which skin tone.

Kylie also posted positive feedbacks of the product on her feed and captioned the post, “Ask and you shall receive 3 yummy new award-winning GLOSS DRIP shades dropping August 8th.”

Meanwhile, despite the amount of feedbacks the product is gaining, some fans think the product is actually nothing to write home about and not worth the hype.

Kylie Jenner — Critics Troll Kylie’s New Lip Gloss

As usual, after seeing the pictures for Gloss Drip promotion, a critic took a screenshot of the post and shared it on Reddit where some other critics slandered the product.

After sharing the shot which was captioned the post, “I do love Kylie and all… but tell me how her gloss product doesn’t look cheap,” someone rushed and commented, “I like some of the photos for this promotion! This product does look a little childish and cheap-ish, though.”

Another said, “Looks like a TikTok business.” A third added, “The marketing is just totally off. I don’t understand the insistence on the constant male gaze aesthetic when the main people who they are selling to are women??”

And a fourth responded: “Yes. And the promo photo doesn’t even come close to matching the packaging!

The photo is so sexy and sultry, while the packaging looks like something you’d pick up as a pre-teen at Claire’s. it just doesn’t work.”

Although there’s pure displeasure from critics as regards the packaging and the promotion strategy for the product, one thing is certain, Gloss Drip will definitely hit the market on Monday, August 8, and there’s nothing these trolls can do about it.
