Marie Osmond Refuses To Leave Her Children An Inheritance

There’s a lot of parents who would most definitely agree with Marie Osmond’s sentiments here. Despite the fact that she is worth millions of dollars, Marie says that she’s not willing to leave even a dime in inheritance money to her kids. That’s because she wants them to not only pursue their passions, but also learn the value of working for a hard-earned dollar. Here’s what she has to say.

According to The Globe, even though Marie Osmond is worth a whopping $26 million, there’s a good chance that she will leave that money to a charity than her children. That’s because she insists that her eight children earn their own way in life.

As many of her fans probably already know, Marie’s children include her son Stephen, with her current husband Steve Craig, and the children she shares with her ex-husband Brian Blosil: Jessica, Rachel, Brandon, Brianna, Matthew and Abigail. Her son Michael tragically died after he committed suicide at the age of 18 back in 2010 after a long battle with depression.

Marie even put it this way, “I don’t know anybody who becomes anything it they are just handed money. To me, the greatest gift you can give your child is a passion to search out who they are inside and to work.”

With that said, Marie has pointed out that her moral and beliefs about this has worked for the better as her son Stephen has just reached a great accomplishment: he just recently earned his MBA at UCLA last summer. He’s managed to do that while working full-time and raising his family, which includes his four children.

Marie says, “We are so proud of him! It’s quite an accomplishment to be a finisher.”

Now, as far as what Marie Osmond plans to do with her fortune remains to be seen, but there’s a strong chance that she might leave her money somewhere that will help work towards the better good. Watch this space as we have a feeling that we’ll be hearing again from Marie and her family in no time again. For now, she’s just going to enjoy the time that she’s got with all of her loved ones near near her.
