Pop star Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, have announced the birth of their first child. The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram on Friday August 23, with Justin posting a photo of the newborn’s tiny foot.

The Meaning Behind Baby Bieber’s Name

“WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER,” the proud father wrote in the caption, adding a bear emoji. The name “Jack Blues” is a tribute to Justin’s late grandfather, who was also named Jack.

The Biebers first revealed they were expecting a baby in May of this year. In a heartwarming joint Instagram post, they shared a video and photos from a vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii, as well as a maternity shoot featuring Hailey’s growing baby bump.

Hailey’s representative confirmed to PEOPLE shortly after the announcement that the model was six months pregnant. A source later told Entertainment Tonight that the couple was “thrilled” to be expecting a child together.

“They have wanted this for a long time and can’t wait to expand their family and bring a child into the world,” the source said.

The arrival of Jack Blues marks a new chapter in the lives of Justin and Hailey Bieber, who have been married since 2018. Fans around the world are celebrating the couple’s new addition and sending their best wishes to the family.
