It was all in fun when Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart, poked fun at Fuller House star, Candace Cameron Bure.

However, it is ironic that, while Sabrina was a good witch, Bure played a satanic witch in an old episode of Boy Meets World. As fans know she has since revealed that she is a devout Christian, so Hart found this fact amusing.

On the Monday, August 21 episode of Pod Meets World, hosted by Will Friedle, Rider Strong and Danielle Fishel, Melissa Joan Hart had a giggle.

She poked fun at Candace Cameron Bure for playing a satanic witch in an old episode of Boy Meets World.

Hart played the title role in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and said how funny it is that so many people in bible study tell her they weren’t allowed to watch the show because it was about witchcraft.

She also noted that Bure had played the role of a satanic witch in Boy Meets World, saying:

But then you think about Candace, who is such a devout Christian — and she’s known for that now — and she’s playing the satanic witch!

Hart and Bure both guest-starred on a season 5 episode of the iconic 90s show Boy Meets World. The episode was titled The Witches of Pennbrook.

It turns out Candace got the role in 1995 after Full House wrapped, which was part of the TGIF lineup with Boy Meets World and Sabrina.

In that episode, Bure plays Millie, who has moved into an apartment on the same floor as Friedle, 47, Strong, 43, and Matthew Lawrence’s characters, Eric, Shawn and Jack.

Meanwhile, Millie throws herself at Jack to gain access to their balcony to perform a spell.

Moreover, Eric walks in on Millie, while she is speaking to Satan, vowing to do his bidding on Halloween. However, while Millie is trying to sacrifice Jack to gain ownership of the apartment, Eric takes Millie and her coven down.

Amusingly, he recited a spell from his Witchcraft for Dummies book, which forced the women to leave.

Meanwhile, Hart appeared in a brief cameo as her TV character, Sabrina Spellman. During the final scene, Sabrina is with Eric on the balcony, getting ready to go on a date.

However, he admits he was nervous to go on a date, due to Jack’s former relationship with Millie. Sabrina teased him, saying “What’s so spooky about that?”

That episode was found on YouTube and can be watched here:

Hart finds the episode hilarious

Talking on the podcast on Monday, Hart said she thinks she never played a satanic witch as Sabrina, so she found this fact hilarious.

Bure has come a long way since her role in Boy Meets World and has become outspoken about her Christian beliefs.

She even left Hallmark Media to join Great American Media which she found more conservative, as Hallmark became more inclusive.

At the time, she said, “I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch.”

“I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family,” Bure added.
