Millie Bobby Brown Had A Good Marrying Young Example For Her and Fiancé Jake Bongiovi

Millie Bobby Brown has already started to keenly plan her wedding to rockstar Jon Bon Jovi‘s son Jake Bongiovi.

The pair got engaged when she was 19 and he was 21, and while many may see this as young, for Brown and her fiancé, it’s a family tradition.

You may think that Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are rushing into marriage, but they’ve got their parents to fall back to for advice whenever things get too hard to handle on their own.

And for Brown, that’s important, especially in this day and age when most marriages are sadly ending in divorces.

Appearing on the Drew Barrymore Show, the star touched on her upcoming nuptials.

“Your mother and Father-in-law-to-be met in highschool, like highschool sweethearts, and then got married….,” host Drew Barrymore said, before Brown jumped in to reveal, “I’m actually not sure, like when we asked them, they were like yeah we got married in Vegas.” “And your parents met around 20?” Barrymore inquired.

“Yeah my mom was 21, my dad was 19,” she said, and while she jokingly shared that her father lied about something earlier on in his relationship with her mother – “red flags by the way” – she did admit that “he’s the best man ever so we love him.”

Barrymore then mused, “And they’re all still together, and they met young still together.”

“Yeah still together and I think that’s huge, like it’s very rare, like you know just in our world today and I feel like… that’s not to say it’s good or bad,” Brown said. “It’s just to say that we grew up with really wonderful relationships to observe and I think it really just set a precedent for what we want in our lives. I watch my parents fall more in love everyday and that same goes for when I see Jake’s parents and that’s what we wanted – in hopes – to achieve for ourselves.”

Brown previously revealed that she agreed to marry Bongiovi because he didn’t want her to be a “stereotypical” wife.
