Modern Family Alum Ariel Winter Stars In New NBC Show

Hollywood news and updates tease that Ariel Winter became the new cast member of the upcoming NBC series titled Hungry.

Ariel Winter, known as Alex Dunphy of Modern Family, will have her first table read as she took the place of Demi Lovato in the new NBC series when the singer left the show due to scheduling issues. However, Lovato will remain as one of the executive producers of the show.

As per NBC, Hungry, which was written by Suzanne Martin, is all about “a group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they look for love, success, and the perfect thing in the fridge that’s going to make it all better.”

Aside from Ariel Winter, the show casts Valerie Bertinelli, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Ryan McPartlin, Alex Brightman, and Ashley D. Kelley.

Modern Family – Fans Show Support To Ariel Winter’s Upcoming TV Project

Following her commitment to the upcoming NBC series, Hungry, the lead star, Ariel Winter, shared her excitement on her social media account. She posted a screenshot of a news article from Deadline, which wrote about her being the new cast of the series.

Ariel captioned: “I am SO EXCITED to join the ‘Hungry’ fam. I love this show and everyone involved so I couldn’t be happier or more ready to get to work. Guess you could say I’m hungry. LOL.”

The post gained a lot of supportive words from fans and friends from the industry, including her former Modern Family co-stars, congratulating Winter on her new project. Sarah Hyland wrote, “F***, yes!!! NBC FAMILY!!! Stayin’ sisters!!!”

In other news, Ariel Winter appeared in Red Table Talk last December 2021, and she shared her experiences of being bullied by people online. She mentioned that people have started criticizing her since she was 13 years old.

It all started when her body changed during puberty and viewers have witnessed her transformation while portraying the role of Alex Dunphy in Modern Family. “I gained weight and my body changed and I had to wear different outfits. The headlines were dark. ‘Fat slut’ was rough for me and it continued,” she said.
