Patrick J. Adams Reveals Where He Stands On The Show’s Reboot

Okay, I think we’re officially done obsessing about whether Meghan Markle would be returning as paralegal Rachel Zane, so let’s move on to whether we’ll be seeing Patrick J. Adams return as Mike Ross. I mean, how can any reboot boldly call itself a “Suits” reboot without Mike Ross?

Patrick J Adams Says He Hasn’t Been Contacted For A “Suits” Reboot

While “Suits” might have ended its nine-season run as an average network cable show, it gained a massive worldwide audience after it was added to Netflix.

In fact, its exposure was so great that the series’ creators and producers could not entirely ignore it. Needless to say, this massive fan interest led to the announcement of a reboot.

At the moment, we don’t know what kind of reboot it’s going to be. Are they going to begin anew with new characters and maybe bring in an old one for a cameo every once in a while or are they going to continue the show like it never ended?

Last week’s Golden Globe awards saw the stars of “Suits” reunite on the red carpet, including Patrick, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres.

During his chat with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed that he hasn’t been contacted about working on it, but should the executives summon him, he’ll be jumping in with both feet.

He also commented on the whereabouts of his and Meghan Markle’s characters, saying, “I think they’re in Seattle still, you know, saving the world and doing their thing. [They’d be] wearing a lot of raincoats. I think they’re doing well, and they’re happy out there. That would be my take.”

Patrick played a major role in the movie before marrying Meghan Markle’s Rachel Zane in season 7. After the wedding, Meghan’s character left the show completely, but we still see Patrick’s Mike Ross every once in a while until it ultimately ended two seasons later.

According to Beatrice Springborn, president of Universal International Studios and UCP, the show is in its earliest stages, with “Suits” creator Aaron Kusch writing the series.

“We are working on it right now,” she said during a speaking engagement back in December, per Variety. “It’s so fun and happy.”
