Ree Drummond is going to be a grandmother soon and she is thrilled to the high moon. So thrilled that she’s willing to sacrifice – nah… let’s say upgrade – one of her most beloved spaces to a nursery. Here’s the adorable details.

Ree Drummond is ready to be a grandmother and is doing her best to be prepared by the time daughter Alex finally delivers.

This week, the ‘Food Network’ star shared how she spent her Fourth of July weekend cleaning her envious walk-in closet. In the clip, she showed fans what the big wardrobe looked like before she cleaned it and after she did. Needless to say, she was thorough with the cleaning.

But what fans wanted to know was whether she used an entire room to create the walk-in closet.

“Did you take up a bedroom to do this? With my kids out of the house I’m pondering to do that!” a curious fan asked in the comments.

“We built it new with the house,” Drummond replied, “but now that Alex [Drummond] is expecting, I’m wondering if it needed to be a bedroom instead for my granddaughter to come stay with me.”

In the clip’s caption, she shared the chaos that got her closet that messy in the first place. “All I can tell you is: two week trip to L.A. in April, lots of busy catch-up work + college kids home in May, a short-lived trip to Colorado + filming my show in June, then trying to figure out what to wear on the Fourth was the final nail in the coffin,” she wrote.

“Thank goodness it was a long weekend and I could get things back to normal—-though, one could argue, maybe the ‘before’ is normal? (Sorry about the bra, Mom!!! ),” the mom of five joked.

Last month, Ree Drummond’s daughter Alex, 27, announced on Instagram that she is expecting her first child with husband Mauricio Scott. At the time, Alex and husband Mauricio happily shared in the joint caption, “We can’t wait to meet you, little one. Baby Scott joining the party this winter!”
