Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Says Goodbye To Beloved Family Member

Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond said goodbye to her nephew Stuart Smith who also helped the cooking personality film her series during the pandemic. Ree shared on her Instagram feed that Stuart is headed off to start a summer internship in Chicago before thanking him for all of his help.

“My sweet Stu!! We knew this day would come,” Drummond wrote. Adding, ”Today was my handsome nephew’s last day of filming my cooking show. He stepped in with my kids during the early days of the pandemic and helped shoot a couple of episodes on iPhones, and he also helped do some dishes. That was April 2020…and those “couple of episodes” turned into like 80 or more.”

The Food Network star went on to share her love for her nephew who has grown into a young man, “His name is Stuart, but I still call him Tooie like we all did when he was little. Usually I go a step further and call him Tooie Booie,” she wrote.

“Since he’s well past the age of 18, I told him I was going to stop calling him Tooie Booie and start calling him Stuart. It lasted about nine minutes. I love this boy a lot.” Drummond closed out the post with a heart.

Pioneer Woman – To Return To Filming With Crew

As Ree Drummond shared, the pandemic was difficult for her as the filming crew was not able to film her show. Ree’s large family stepped up to the plate to ensure she could continue sharing her recipes during the hard times. 

With her family stepping up, fans began to appreciate the strong family presence and hoped it would continue. Now, Ree Drummond has also shared that her normal filming crew plans to return this coming July as the show will get back to its normal format.
