Rihanna definitely knows how to turn a pregnancy announcement into an event. And the songstress chose the 2023 Super Bowl halftime to unveil her baby bump. However, Rihanna herself and her boyfriend ASAP Rocky actually felt just as shocked as the audience at her second pregnancy.

Rihanna – Didn’t Plan On Getting Pregnant Again So Soon

ASAP Rocky and Rihanna recently decided that they wanted a second baby. However, the singer and the songstress did not expect that she would get pregnant again so quickly. And an insider told Us magazine that Rihanna and ASAP Rocky felt “surprised the second pregnancy happened so fast.”

But since the timing did prove perfect for the Super Bowl, Rihanna decided to share her baby bump with the world during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show. “They wanted another baby and were trying,” explained the source. “But the pregnancy came sooner than expected!”

However, the audience in the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, went wild on Sunday, February 12, as Rihanna showed off her pregnancy. Her performance marked her first time singing live in several years. And a red Loewe outfit proved the perfect ensemble for showing off her excitement over her second baby. 

ASAP Rocky And Rihanna Feel ‘Thrilled’ Over Second Baby

Less than a year ago, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky welcomed their son. And they never expected to start prepping for their second child so soon. But despite their shock, Rihanna and ASAP feel “so thrilled to be parents again,” shared a source. “They love their family and are so happy to be adding another member.”

The couple began their romance in February 2020 after attending the 2019 Fashion Awards together in London. And in May 2021, ASAP Rocky reflected on what Rihanna means to him. Life feels “so much better when you got The One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones,” declared the rapper. 

And he described Rihanna as “the love of my life. I think when you know, you know. She’s The One.” The following January, the songstress and her boyfriend shared the news of their first pregnancy. And they even posed for maternity photos, with Rihanna showing off her baby bump. Four months after those photos, the couple welcomed a baby boy. 

But the songstress shared that she took time before making a commitment to the romance. “People don’t get out of the friend zone very easily with me,” admitted Rihanna. “And I certainly took a while to get over how much I know him and how much he knows me because we also know how much trouble we can land each other in.”
