Robert Downey Jr Confesses He Likes The Idea of Returning As Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. Confesses He Likes The Idea of Returning As Iron ManWe lost a good many Avengers in the great battle against Thanos – Captain America, Black Widow, Vision – but perhaps the one that still gets fans really emotional is the death of Robert Downey Jr.’s ‘Iron Man.’ Happily, after 15 years of playing Tony Stark / Iron Man in three movies and across the Marvel

Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr. is still interested in reprising his role. He also doesn’t want you to bet against Kevin Feige when it comes to his character’s grand return to the world of the living. If they can bring Gomora back, sure they can do the same for our Iron Man.

Robert Downey Jr. – Is “Surprisingly Open-minded” To Reprising His Iron Man Role

I don’t think fans will ever forget that Iron Man died just days before his wedding to Pepper Potts – his assistant, who later became love of his life.

The idea that Iron Man got so close to happiness and then lost it was more than just a devastating blow to fans, who believe that the character deserves better.

“It’s just crazily in my DNA. Probably the most like-me character I’ve ever played, even though he’s way cooler than I am. I’ve become surprisingly open-minded to the idea. Between Nyad and [True Detective: Night Country] and, for me, Oppenheimer and then Sympathizer, it really is crazy because we look pretty good. I was actually looking at the stills we were taking, making sure: ‘Do we still look kind of OK?’ I’m like, ‘We look pretty good.’”

Robert Downey Jr starred as Iron Man alongside Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts in the superhero franchise that debuted in 2008. He would later go on to become a mentor/father-figure to Tom Holland’s ‘Spiderman,’ something that continues to delight fans.

The franchise is often credited with inspiring a whole new generation of superheroes that would dominate the 2010s.

In Iron Man’s absence, Spiderman was gifted Edith: a device that controls the late superhero’s tech and weapons, so if he’s going to come back, there’ll be a lot for him to catch up on.
