Rosie O’Donnell Is Setting Her Sights On The View Without Whoopi Goldberg

It seems like Rosie O’Donnell is looking to make a major comeback, but only if the cards all fall in place for her. In fact, there’s a new report that says the former actress, comedian, and television personality is setting her sights on The View again, but only under one condition: if Whoopi Goldberg can get the boot. Here’s what you need to know.

According to The National Enquirer, Rosie is setting her sights on The View, but without Whoopi, of course. As many fans can recall, Rosie was on The View back in 2006, but got the boot herself because of some of her politically charged arguments with some of her co-hosts, including Elisabeth Hasselback.

Yet, when Rosie rejoined the show in 2014, producers quickly realized that things just didn’t work out between her and Whoopi as it quickly became a match made in hell. Speaking about the matter, Rosie even once said, “Whoopi was mean as anyone has ever been on television to me, personally – while I was sitting there”

And while putting Whoopi and Rosie together on the same show again would sure enough set fireworks, The View producers aren’t too sure if they want to do that again. That, and Rosie wants to make sure her mental health is also protected. But at the same time, she does want to get back on television, too.

What’s Next For Rosie O’Donnell?

One tipster even put it this way, “Rosie really misses having a huge forum of a national television show to weigh in on the news of the day. If Whoopi is out, she wants back in. And that would be delicious revenge for Rosie, since she considers Whoopi her tormentator.”

Now, as far as the other co-hosts are concerned, the only person Rosie wants out is Whoopi. The source added, “Rosie could handle being second banana to Joy Behar – all that matters to her is that Whoopi isn’t around.”
