As many fans know by now, Sharon got into a very heated but also emotional debate about race with her co-host Sherryl Underwood after she defended her good friend Piers Morgan on the show. Here’s what you need to know.

Sharon’s drama all began right after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. The next morning, Piers Morgan claimed on Good Morning Britain that he didn’t believe any of Meghan’s claims that she experienced suicidal thoughts during her time behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace. Soon after that Sharon defended her friend Piers on The Talk, which led to her debate with Sherryl. CBS is now investigating reports of an alleged “racially insensitive and hostile environment” on the show.

It now looks like Sharon is getting ready to battle her bosses, just in case things get even more heated than they already are. One source close to the situation told Page Six, “Sharon wasted no time in getting her lawyers immediately on the case. Jeremiah Reynolds has a very strong reputation as a trial and arbitration lawyer and is handling all her negotiations with CBS.”

Sharon Osbourne Might Soon Be Without A Job

Another tipster says that Sharon has a feeling that she is going to get fired from the show but she is refusing to leave without a huge payout from the network.

“The network will have to pay her a sizeable settlement to keep her quiet after this,” the source said. “She could write a book, she would do a world of interviews. She knows where all the bodies are buried.”

So far Sharon herself has not made any comments about the matter, and nor has CBS said anything about extended the current hiatus for the show. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details as they come in.

      I'm a bit confused by this situation. Firstly racism should not be tolerated. So if Sharon has done some of these questionable things why were they not addressed before when these things allegedly happened. The other confusing thing is why did Cheryl choose this situation to address her obvious criticism of Sharons racial failings, I thought they were friends? If I had an issue with a friend over something as serious and sensitive as racism I would want to have that conversation one on one in private. I would want to hear their reasoning and I would want them to hear mine. I would not want risk a schoolgirl style catfight over something so important. I would not, along with another person create an attack type cross examination. If that had been two white women attacking a woman of colour over what they perceived as a racial issue how would this have played out? Finally I always thought Morgan's aggressive dislike for Megan Markle was not at all due to her race but more that Megan did not return his feelings of friendship. I intend no offense to Cheryl, Sharon or anyone, like any decent person I long for a day when a person's colour is not an issue, we don't care about a person's eye colour, so why should skin colour be any different. I love the fact people are different, our different colours and cultures are part of what makes the world so beautiful and interesting.
