Sharon Osbourne Defended Her Friend
The former host of “The Talk” is still furious over the unfair practices of CBS. While Sharon was fired for defending Piers Morgan when he attacked Meghan Markle on his show. However, Sharon claims that she was defending Morgan’s right to have an opinion, not anything racist. Sharon says that she felt that because her friend was racist, she was being labeled a racist too. Sharon said that she felt like she was being put in an electric chair for defending her friend. Let’s be honest, a lot of people have less than stellar opinions of Meghan even if she is married to a prince. Morgan disagrees with some of the stuff Markle claim about her treatment by others. Morgan also disagreed with Markle’s claims that she felt suicidal at one point. Morgan has a right to his opinion but how does he know what Markle felt about anything? Markle could have felt a lot of ways that Morgan wasn’t privy to.
Sharon Osbourne Over Reacted
The former host of “The Talk” seems to come completely unhinged because she felt like she was being thrown under the bus. Osbourne discussed another situation where one of the hosts felt attacked by another racist conversation and an agreement between the women to never do this again. Unfortunately, the questions apparently came from executives, and the hosts were not allowed to change things. Sharon claims that she kept asking about the discussion and why it was happening but did not get any satisfying answers. Sharon says she panicked because she felt attacked. Sharon screamed over her costar’s question and attempts to defuse the situation.
CBS Claims About The Workplace
After an internal investigation of “The Talk” CBS released a statement that Sharon’s behavior toward her cohosts did not their values for a respectful workplace. The investigation also revealed that no one had orchestrated this conversation to blindside anyone. Ironically, Whoopi Goldberg, who is a co-host on ABC’s “The View” received a mere two-week suspension for comments about Jews and the Holocaust. Is it any wonder that Sharon would be upset because of the difference between the networks? After all, Sharon was defending her friend’s freedom of speech because of an opinion. Whoopi’s comments were actually racist.
One can see why Sharon would have a problem with the way CBS chose to handle her situation as opposed to ABC’s handling a similar situation. Was CBS too hard on Sharon? Did CBS take allegations of others into account when deciding her punishment?
She and Piers were treated/ terminated unfairly.
Both should be awared huge monetary settlements and a public televised apology.
apology
And I'm not a big fan of either one of them.
But, they were not wrong, were they?
