Spencer Grammer Shares Her Experience With Her Dad Kelsey In Holiday Movie “12 Days Of Christmas Eve”

The star of “Greek” Spencer Grammer recently shared what it was like working side by side with her dad Kelsey Grammer in the new holiday movie, “12 Days Of Christmas Eve.” It’s the first time Spencer is featured in a Christmas movie and also the first time she acts side-by-side her dad Kelsey.

In an exclusive discussion with E! News, Spenser gushed over her working experience with her dad. According to Spencer, working with Kelsey was the easiest because Kelsey is a cool man who doesn’t go all the way to boss his crew around.

“My experience working with him was very easy, I feel like that’s how a set really works—it works from the top down—and you have people who you work with who are your bosses and they will set the tone for the show. I really think we were in great hands because my dad’s a lovely man to work with.”

The latest Lifetime’s Christmas movie “12 Days Of Christmas Eve” is a story of a man named Brian who had a bad relationship with everyone around him including his daughter Michelle, not to talk of his granddaughter.

One day, Brian had a terrible accident and that accident marked the beginning of something beautiful for Brian because Santa provided Brian 12 chances to ensure he made things right with the people around him.

Speaking about the movie, Spencer told HollywoodLife exclusively, that the story of Brian and Michelle is more like that of her and her father. “I’m the firstborn, so I’ve seen everything,” explained Spencer. “When you are the firstborn you sort of set the tone for everyone else in a weird way, and your parents are also figuring it out, too. So I think it’s just one of the most challenging relationships for the children as well as the parents because you’re both learning how to be a family for the first time in a weird way.”

“Family’s complicated for everybody. It was nice that we brought some of that to the story as well, which I think allows people to want to change some of their family dynamics when they watch the film or realize that it’s a catharsis that it’s okay to struggle sometimes and that you can eventually have forgiveness for one another and move through it and enjoy the spirit of Christmas together.”

Spencer Grammar — Kelsey’s Experience Working With Spencer

While Spencer had everything good to speak about her working relationship with her father, Kelsey also said a few nice things about her daughter.

“She was lovely—she’s a pro, she hits the ground running, she’s prepared, she shows up and she’s also smart—which is one of the greatest things about an actors that I’ve noticed in general is—the good ones are smart people. She’s a good actor. She’s got the stuff.”

Speaking about the possibility of teaming together to create another film, Spencer revealed that she has had the conversation with her dad and he’s okay with it. Spencer then added “if I’ve learned anything in this business it’s there’s a lot of ‘it going to happen’ and a lot of ‘it didn’t happen.’ It’s definitely a possibility, but also, you never know.”
