Spice Girls Will Be Spicing Up Our World With 25th Anniversary Edition Of “Spiceworld” Album

Spice Girls Will Be Spicing Up Our World With 25th Anniversary Edition Of “Spiceworld” AlbumThere once was a time when the Spice Girls rocked the world with their music, topping charts and breaking records. With the amount of fame they garnered during their short-lived presence, it’s a wonder there isn’t a word defining that era, like Spicemania or something.

And despite being an alternate version of the Beatles (they’re an all-girl group), they had a lot in common with the boy band. For starters, they’re both one of the biggest and most successful groups in the world. They both disbanded within a short time. And their members are notable and unique people.

While it’s possible there’ll never be a Spice Girl reunion – a little fly revealed that Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, is not onboard with the idea, at least we can settle with their old hits and allow nostalgia to set in.

What’s “Spiceworld” 25 And Why Are the Spice Girls Releasing A New Edition

Get ready to spice up your life “too much”, before you remember to stop, with Spice Girls’ 25th anniversary of their 1997 chart-topping album.

“The Spiceworld era was such a fun time for us,” said the Spice Girls — Victoria Beckham, Melanie “Mel B” Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm and Geri Halliwell Horner — in a press statement. “We’d just had a number one album with Spice, we were traveling all over the world and meeting our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our very own movie! Who would’ve thought it? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed.”

To make it even spicier, unreleased songs from that era will be included in the new edition, alongside extended versions of old songs.

The songs that will be joining “Spiceworld’s” original ten songs are “Step to Me (7″ Mix)” — which first premiered in a Pepsi ad campaign — and the previously released bonus tracks “Outer Space Girls” and “Walk of Life.”

The project further includes never-before-released songs including the demo version of “Step to Me,” live versions of several Spiceworld from concerts in 1997 and 1998, five remixes and a “Spice Girls Party Mix”, which is basically 15 minutes of remixed Spice Girls’ hits.

The edition will be available in digital deluxe, 2CD with a hardback book, picture disc vinyl, clear vinyl, 2LP deluxe, and double cassette editions. Preordering has started ahead of its Nov. 4 release via UMC and Virgin Records.
