Sylvester Stallone And Jennifer Flavin Divorce Update

25 years of marriage and three children later, Jennifer Flavin exclusively told PEOPLE that she’ll be parting ways with her husband. Sources said that the reason behind the separation was Sylvester Stallone’s poor management of finances.

She filed for the divorce on August 19, even though she said that she will cherish every second of their 30-year-plus relationship.

On September 23, PEOPLE confirmed that Stallone and Flavin are calling off their divorce and continuing work on their relationship. In addition to this, the “Rocky” actor’s reps told Page Six Friday, “They decided to meet back up at home, where they talked and were able to work out their differences. They are both extremely happy.”

This is coming days after a Palm Beach county, Florida, court filing said both Flavin, 54, and Stallone, 76, agreed “that is in the best interests of each of them individually, and more importantly collectively as a family, to resolve all issues attendant to the dissolution of their marriage in a dignified, amicable and private manner out-of-court.”

The couple, who tied the knot in May 1997, share daughters Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20.

Why Jennifer Flavin Filed For Divorce

A little over a month ago on August 19, Flavin filed “for dissolution of marriage and other relief” from husband Stallone. She alleged that the reason she’s pushing to get divorced was because Stallone “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate”. Stallone, on the other hand, denied the claim.

After her divorce filing, Flavin told PEOPLE exclusively, “I’m sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters. I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward.”

The “Rambo” star also commented on the divorce news at the time, asking for privacy as his family continues to heal.
