Taylor Swift famously uses her personal life to inspire her songs. And with rumors soaring about the songstress and her NFL star beau Travis Kelce, fans wonder if Taylor’s next song will be something like “Engaged On The Football Field.” 

However, insiders have revealed some hints about when Swift and Kelce might actually get engaged. And here’s a hint: Get ready to croon “Cruel Summer.”

Taylor Swift Engaged?

“Cruel Summer” songstress Taylor Swift and her NFL star beau Travis Kelce recently went public with their romance. And from there, Swift and Kelce have begun discussing engagement plans, an insider told Page Six.

But the singer and NFL star agreed that they want to wait rather than rush into an engagement. And the summer seems like a possibility.

However, initially Travis and Taylor reportedly considered becoming engaged over the winter holidays. But they delayed because “they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity,” said the source.

Travis Kelce To Propose On Valentine’s Day?

And recently, fans have speculated that Kelce will wait until Valentine’s Day to propose. But the insider denied those rumors. And the source shared, “Taylor and Travis discussed it. And there is a plan.” However, that plan calls for the couple to become “engaged on their one-year anniversary in July,” added the source.

But fans might wonder why the insider lists July as the one-year anniversary. Because Swifit and Kelce made their first public appearance in September. And heads turned when the singer showed up to watch him play at Arrowhead Stadium for his Kansas City Chiefs game.

However, the couple, who just spent the winter holidays together, actually secretly began dating much earlier. And Taylor shared in her Time magazine Person of the Year interview that she began her romance with Kelce after he confessed in his podcast in July about attempting to give Swift his phone number at an Eras tour concert.

And the singer recalled, “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for. Because we got to get to know each other. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game,” she added. 

And revealing what it takes to enjoy a romance in an intense spotlight, Taylor declared, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date. When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there,” she added. “And we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

Meanwhile, Travis asked Scott Swift’s permission to tie the knot with his daughter. And an insider shared, “Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.” The couple enjoyed spending time over the holidays with Taylor’s family as well as his father, canoodling on New Year’s Eve.
