Taylor Swift’s private jet use has been a hot topic for years. Back in 2022, a report by an environmentally friendly marketing firm revealed her exhaustive use of a private jet that made her one of the biggest celebrity polluters of all time.
Also on that list were Elon Musk, Kylie Jenner, and Kim Kardashian. Despite the criticism, everyone is dying to know if Taylor will attend Super Bowl LVIII. Read on to learn more.
Taylor Swift – Threatens To Sue College Student
Earlier this week, Taylor Swift made headlines when a report revealed that she planned to sue college student Jack Sweeney.
He revealed that she sent him a cease-and-desist letter because he used a public flight tracker to share her private jet information.
While it’s considered public information, Swift might be trying to track her steps. She’s been criticized for how often she uses her private jets.
The pop star has not one, but two private jets. TMZ reported that Swift sold one of them, but she could buy a new one. In the meantime, Swift’s lawyer has beef with Sweeney.
They argue that his social media accounts are seen as a threat to her safety, according to The Washington Post. If Sweeney doesn’t stop sharing the details of her private jet use, her team will take legal action.
Taylor Swift was criticized for this ballsy move. People on X, formerly known as Twitter, argued that she’s trying to frame herself as a victim. One user wrote: “She’s the one emitting terrifying amounts of carbon but she’s the victim???? Lmao.”
Sweeney’s information is in the public domain. The international sell-out might not have a case in court. In the meantime, the media and fans are dying to know if Swift will attend Super Bowl LVIII to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce play with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Will She Watch the Kansas City Chiefs Play At Super Bowl?
More eyes are on Taylor Swift this weekend than they are on the Super Bowl players. The Chiefs will take on the 49ers on Sunday, February 11.
Taylor Swift could rack up as much as 20,000 air miles as she travels on her Eras Tour and flies to Las Vegas to cheer on her NFL boyfriend.
Swift already flew over 5,000 miles from Los Angeles to Tokyo on Monday, February 5 after the 2024 Grammys.
She will fly an additional 5,000 miles to watch Travis and his team try to win the Super Bowl and her heart. Swift could also rack up another 8,000 miles when she travels to Melbourne to continue her world tour.
Her jetsetting lifestyle could emit 122 tons of CO2 emissions. That could easily be offset by purchasing carbon credits. A spokesperson for the singer told The U.S. Sun: “Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel.”
