This Mariah Carey’s “Childhood Dream” Is Coming True This Christmas

Mariah Carey is determined to make this Christmas super sweet for fans. Already, she’s booked to perform two Christmas-themed shows on Dec. 11 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, and Dec. 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Now, we’re learning that there’s a bonus Christmas performance and it’s something that Mariah has dreamed of for many years.

Deck the halls and tis the season to be jolly because Mariah Carey will be spreading some Christmas magic, starting with this year’s Thanksgiving.

Mariah Carey – To Perform Her Holiday Hit “All I Want For Christmas” At An Annual Thanksgiving Parade

On Nov. 24, Mariah Carey will join in Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade, where she will perform “All I Want For Christmas”.

For Mariah, getting to perform at the parade was more than just her average gig, it was literally a “childhood dream” coming true.

“My childhood dream is coming to life! I’m going to be opening for the one and only, SANTA CLAUS 🎅🏼, at this year’s @macys Thanksgiving day parade,” the 52-year-old shared with fans on Instagram. “🎄🎉💫 Tune in on Thanksgiving Day.”

In the clip shared along with her joyful caption is a countdown leading up to Thanksgiving. We then hear Mariah’s voice excitedly announce, “Hey, it’s Mariah! See you at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.”

Carey’s performance at the parade will happen around 12 p.m. ET, three hours after it first airs on NBC, and before Santa Claus rounds out the annual holiday event.

What Will Be Happening At Macy’s Annual Thanksgiving Parade

The hosts for this year’s Emmy Award-winning celebration include Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker.

There won’t be a dull moment at this year’s parade, especially with the packed list of performers, which includes, Big Time Rush, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, Fitz and the Tantrums, Mario Lopez, Kirk Franklin, Jordin Sparks, and so many others.

 

But that’s not all the fun that’s to be had at the event, as Broadway’s finest are also set to deliver amazing performances during the broadcast, set to kick off with a dazzling opening number from Lea Michele and the cast of Broadway’s “Funny Girl”. “A Beautiful Noise” and “The Lion King” are among the list of Broadway acts scheduled to take part in the Parade.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade will also feature the cast of Peacock’s “Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin”, with Adam Levine and Sarah Hyland making an appearance.

The iconic Radio City Rockettes will round up the theatrics.
