In fact, there’s a new report that says the actor is once again the sexiest man alive according to a new poll. Here’s what you need to know.

According to a poll conducted by Showcase Cinemas, Tom is still one of the top actors in the entertainment industry. A survey asked about 2,000 mothers to pick the sexiest male actors of all time and Tom Cruise topped the list.

Jon Dixon, of Showcase Cinemas said, “The Sound of Music came out as number one, but it was extremely tight with so many classics making the top ten. Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise came top in the list of favorite movie stars, just edging out Robin Williams.”

And while there’s no doubt that Tom Cruise is enjoying this new surge in his popularity, there’s a separate report that said the actor is having a very hard time finding people that he can trust in the industry.

One source close to the situation even said, “He’s charming the hell out of everyone at all the industry events, but he’s hard to pin down after the party’s over. Even his comings and goings are kept secret. When in Los Angeles, he divides his time between a Bel-Air resident and a Scientology base in the desert, traveling by helicopters so he can stay under the radar.”

The tipster added, “Tom knows anything he says can bite him in the butt, but he also likes the mystery of being inaccessible. In social situations, he swoops in to chat and then leaves in a flash. He might have a lot of people throw themselves at him, but he’s skeptical of anyone outside his Scientology clique. And an Oscar, if Top Gun wins it, won’t change that.”
