Valerie Bertinelli Says Adjusting To Aging Is Not Easy

While the Food Network star, Valerie Bertinelli, insists she still feels younger than the 63 she is, she did admit that aging hasn’t been easy on her.

Valerie Bertinelli is getting real about aging and every unpleasant thing that comes with it.

On Wednesday, the star shared a video on TikTok, telling fans how hard it is to grow into one’s “sagging” new body as one reaches a certain age.

“Anybody else out there my age find it challenging to wrap their head around aging?” she began. “I’m in my 60s and factually I have spent more time young than I have being old so I’m kind of adjusting…my body is adjusting for sure.”

“I can still jog upstairs but I can’t run upstairs. I can still do a nice deep squat but I gotta hold onto something to pull myself back up,” she said with a laugh. “I used to always be able to sit in child’s pose when you’re sitting on the back of your ankles. Boy, I can still do that but it’s uncomfortable.”

She continued by poking fun at her body and pulling at the skin around her arm and neck, saying, “I’ve seen parts of my body that are sagging that didn’t use to sag.”

She continued laughingly: “Like, what the hell is that?! I’m just having trouble wrapping my head around this aging stuff because in my brain, I am still this young, goofy, let’s-have-fun girl.”“It’s just mind blowing, aging,” she quipped. “I’m just wondering if there’s anyone else out there doing their best to adjust to being older when they’ve spent so much time being young.”

In the caption, she shared that “aging is such a trip .”

This is not the first time that Bertinelli has made lighthearted jokes around aging. One time, she decided to know what the TikTok filter thinks of her age. FYI, it thinks she’s 72.
