Vivica A. Fox And Jada Smith Haven’t Spoken Since She Called Out Jada

Still on the Oscar Slap. Recently, Vivica A. Fox revealed that she hasn’t spoken with Jada Smith since she called Jada out on Jada’s comment concerning the slap. Let me start from the beginning and gradually come to where Vivica called Jada out.

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Oscars 94 Annual Academy Award. Chris Rock was called up to deliver a speech and also give the “Best Actor” award to Smith for his role in King Richard. When Rock came up, he made a joke about Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s bald hair saying “Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it, all right?” Everyone present laughed at the joke except Jada who didn’t find it funny because her shaved hair was as a result of a medical condition she has.

When Smith saw that his wife wasn’t laughing, he walked up to Rock and delivered a sounding slap to Rock while screaming “Keep my wife’s name out of your f–king mouth.” Smith, after going on to win the Best Actor award that same night, did not apologize to Rock for the slap.

Vivica A. Fox — Why Vivica Called Jada Out

Two months ago, during Jada’s June episode of Red Table Talk, Jada addressed her alopecia issue before discussing the Oscar slap, Jada said: “Now, about Oscar night. My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile. The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

So, why did Vivica call Jada out? Vivica called Jada out on that because Vivica felt Will acted out of love for his wife but from Jada’s speech, there wasn’t one bit of accountability in it. While Vivica condemned Will’s actions and said Will assaulted Chris for telling a harmless joke, she wished there would have been accountability from Jada towards will’s action. After Jada’s remarks on the slap, Vivica said when she appeared on The Wendy Williams Show “I just wish we could have just a little more accountability and for it to not seem so self-righteous on Jada’s part, and that’s my feelings.”

Now, you may be wondering why Vivica called Jada out on Jada’s comments but I have to tell you that Vivica has co-starred alongside Will Smith and Jada Smith in different films therefore she considers the couple her friends so Vivica has every goodwill to call Jada out.

Before I get to that, let me quickly tell you that a month after Jada’s comment on the Oscar slap, Will Smith publicly declared in the last video he made of himself which he posted on both Facebook and YouTube, Will Said that Jada didn’t tell him to slap Chris Rock. Will said, “I made a choice on my own from my own experiences and my history with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with it. I’m sorry, babe.”

Anyways, on Tuesday, Vivica revealed to PEOPLE that she hasn’t spoken to Jada since then and Jada hasn’t reached out to Vivica either. Vivica went on to say that she thinks the couple is in a stage where they’re healing from the whole thing. She also said that Will deserves a second chance, that Will already apologized for his actions so it’s fitting that Will is forgiven.

Vivica concluded with “I just hope that we can all move forward from the incident and learned that it must never happen again, especially on that magnitude of a stage.”
