Vocal Issue Is Keeping Bruce Springsteen From Performing Life: How Long Could He Be Out For?

Vocal Issue Is Keeping Bruce Springsteen From Performing Life: How Long Could He Be Out For?It seems that fans of Bruce Springsteen are going to have to wait a while longer to catch the legendary singer-songwriter live.

In 2023, Springsteen postponed several dates of his tour due to peptic ulcer disease, with the promise that he’ll be back on the road as soon as he was alright, and this year, he’s delaying more to listen to his doctor’s advice. Here’s what’s going on exactly with the ‘Dancing in the Dark’ hitmaker.

Reason Bruce Springsteen Cancelled Three-Shows Revealed Amid “Vocal Issues”

Bruce Springsteen, 74, and the E Street Band have postponed three upcoming shows in Prague and Milan. Springsteen took to Instagram on Sunday to share that the decision was made “under doctor’s direction.”

The announcement shared that “further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next 10 days.”

The affected concerts are the Tuesday (May 28) show at Airport Letnany in Prague and the Saturday (June 1) and Monday, June 3 shows at San Siro Stadium in Milan. However, Springsteen promises that new dates for the delayed shows “will be announced shortly.”

The post then shared details about the iconic singer’s recovery, saying that he is doing so “comfortably.” The message also advised fans wishing for a refund “to obtain it at their original point of purchase.”

The message concludes by assuring fans of Springsteen’s eagerness to return to the stage; “he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.”

Springsteen has been battling health issues that have led to the cancellation or delays of his tours, like last year when all of his and the E Street Band’s dates were postponed so that the rockstar can recover from the treatment he underwent for peptic ulcer disease that same year.

At the time, Springsteen told fans, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”
