Wendy Williams Has Greatly Deteriorated, Guardian Claims

Nearly three years ago, Wendy Williams took a break from her show and fans heard that she struggled with Graves’ Disease. So, when she talked about returning, some fans suspected she was being wishful. Since then, she has become even more ill and now her guardian claims that she’s deteriorated a lot from dementia.

The show was canceled and not much more was heard about the talk show host. But when the Lifetime docuseries premiered people were appalled because nobody realized just how bad she was. Soon, it became clear that the family had some issues with the court-appointed guardian, Sabrina E. Morrissey. Regina Schell accused her of placing the talk show host in a situation worse than that of Britney Spears’ conservatorship

Sabrina wanted the Where is Wendy Williams? docuseries by Lifetime stopped. But, it went ahead and aired anyway. She accused the production company and associates of using an impaired woman for the show. Although her diagnosis included progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023, the production company believed she was able to still function to a large degree.

At the time, she said, in part, “What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it It’s about time.”  But now you have to think, how many more times? Now, the guardian of Wendy Williams claims that she’s “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled and legally incapacitated,” per People. Apparently, the statement arrived during the court document submission by Sabrina. That’s not an encouraging update at all.
