Whoopi Goldberg Wants To Be The New Host Of Wheel Of Fortune

It looks like she might be looking to change her view. There’s a new report that suggests Whoopi Goldberg is looking to take Pat Sajak’s place as the new host of Wheel of Fortune now that he’s announced his retirement. Here’s what you need to know.

Whoopi Goldberg – Wants To Be The New Host Of Wheel Of Fortune

During the latest episode of The View, when co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin said, “Another legendary game show host, Pat Sajak, just announced that he’s going to be retiring from Wheel of Fortune at the end of next season,” Whoopi quickly replied with, “I want that job! I think it’d be lots of fun.”

That’s when their other co-host Joy Behar said that she could also step in for Vanna White to turn letters. Wouldn’t that be fun to see, right?

But of course, Whoopi isn’t the only person who is interested in Pat Sajak’s very cushioned job. Apparently, Ryan Seacrest wants it, too. There are new reports that suggest Ryan has been in contact with the producers of Wheel of Fortune about possibly hosting the show.

Not only that, but there are also strong rumors suggesting that he might be the frontrunner for the position as well.

Earlier this week, Pat made his retirement announcement on air. He said, “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”

Pat Sajak – Hasn’t Left Just Yet

Suzanne Prete, the executive vice president of game shows for Sony Pictures Television, also said in a statement, “The company is incredibly grateful and proud to have had Pat as our host for all these years. We look forward to celebrating his outstanding career throughout the upcoming season.”

With all of that said, Pat Sajak hasn’t left the show just yet. He isn’t set to retire until the end of next season, which will be number 41 for the veteran television host.

I definitely will never watch Wheel of Fortune again if Whoopi Goldberg is given position to host Wheel of Fortune!! She is to vulgar to be on as host when children can watch!!
