Sources close to the couple say that tensions have grown following Will Smith hitting Chris Rock at the Oscars for making a joke of his wife’s shaved head. Will Smith later took the stage to say that what he did was out of love.

When Will hit the comedian and presenter, Jada was reportedly seen laughing from her seat. After days of silence, she broke it with a cryptic message, which reads: it’s “the season of healing”.

The pair were known to have had problems with their marriage following Jada confirming to the world that she did truly cheat on Will with her son Jaden Smith’s friend. The couple talked through their differences with a therapist and have moved on before the Oscar’s slap and the controversies it gave birth to.

Prior to the iconic Oscar’s slap “heard around the world”, Jada previously opened up about dealing with Alopecia.

After the public outburst, Will apologized to both Chris and the Academy Awards for his rash behavior, even resigning as a member of the Awards’ voting committee. Yet sources are saying that the slap could have more than just professional consequences for the 53-year-old actor, as it allegedly put a strain on his marriage.

A source told Heat Magazine: “Ever since the Oscars scandal, tensions between them have been palpable.

“There have been problems for years, but they’re barely speaking right now. If they were to split, Will has a fortune of $350million that Jada would be entitled to half of under California law.

“It could be one of the ugliest divorces in showbiz history and drag on longer than Angelina’s and Brad’s did.”

They added: “Will obviously doesn’t want that, but there is only so much he can take.”
