Will Smith continues to face the fall-out from slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars 2022. As a result of the negative publicity, the once-popular actor now reportedly looks for ways to repair his tattered image. But can Will persuade the man he hit to participate in that solution?

Will Smith’s – Team Hopes For Chris Rock’s Help!
A picture’s worth a thousand words. And Will Smith has hired a team that knows the importance of a good photo opp very well. As a result, the actor’s publicists and other experts have urged Will to stage a scene showing him hugging and making up with Chris Rock, insiders told Radar. But getting Rock’s help may not prove as easy as they hoped.
In the wake of Smith slapping Rock, Chris just wants to look ahead rather than back, say the sources. But Will’s team may not surrender their dream quite so easily. “Will and his people know the best way to end this is to set up a meeting between Smith and Rock from which a picture is leaked to the press. The PR theory is that if Chris can forgive Will, then we the public can too,” explained the insiders.
But while that PR theory sounds great, sources pointed out the problem. What would Chris Rock gain from agreeing to fake a so-called “kiss and make-up” session with the man who slapped him? Insiders agree that Will clearly would gain a big boost in his public image. However, Chris would not benefit.
“The big problem with the plan is getting Chris on board. Why would Chris do this? What is in it for him? It’s obvious what Will would gain from the meeting,” admitted one insider. “But how would such an event help Chris?”

As insiders anticipate what might happen next, they also point to how Chris Rock has successfully moved on. His comedy tour has turned into an instant overnight success. Because the comedian’s fans hope to hear Rock address that smack on stage, they eagerly stand in line for his next appearance. However, Will Smith can’t move on quite so quickly.

And insiders revealed that Chris will joke about the slap on stage, potentially bringing new negative headlines for the actor. “I don’t think it is an exaggeration to say that Will Smith’s future is literally in the hands of Chris Rock,” summed up one source. “Chris is a good guy and wouldn’t too anything to hurt Will, but at the same time, I’m not sure he will do anything to help. Let’s be clear, Will is responsible for what happened, it is up to Will to fix it, not Chris.”

Why would Will risk all this misery for a stunt! I don't think it was, and if so it went horribly wrong. Chris's joke seemed to be more cheeky than spiteful, I don't think he would have done it if he was aware of Jada's condition. Jada is a beautiful woman who can pull off a cropped look (not many of us can) and I think thats why Chris innocently thought he could get away with the cheeky comment. I think unfortunately both Chris and Will were caught in a moment. Will initially laughed too at the joke. I don't think neither man realized initially it hurt Jada's feelings, because for her this is obviously a sensitive subject. When will realized unfortunately with emotions running high at this big event he overreacted. Chris obviously hadn't realized, thinking it was a harmless joke. Sadly things escalated and Will unfortunately made some bad choices. Will has paid a high price for his Oscar evening mistakes over this past week. I feel now its time for all of us to move on. Let this be a lesson to Will and to us all, to take a breath before hasty actions. I hope Will and Chris can talk this through and forgive. I love both Will and Chris. I hope Will through actions not words can make amends and pick himself up and get his career back on track. As for Chris I think his professionalism and composure impressed many and I hope this will do his life and career wonders. Many of us have made mistakes we hate ourselves for, so in our forgiveness perhaps we can be forgiven.
