William Macy’s – Neighbor Accuses Star Of “Intentional” Destruction of Property

The “Shameless” actor recently pushed back on the allegations heaped on him by his Los Angeles neighbor, Pierce Brown, who said he had landscapers cut down his trees amd damage his property.

Pierce Brown submitted the $600,000 lawsuit filed to the Los Angeles Superior Court in April, claiming that the Oscar-nominated actor “knowingly and intentionally” directed a team of landscapers to destroy and remove “several healthy, decades-old mature pine trees and other vegetation from the Brown Property.”

William H. Macy Denies Trespassing On Neighbor's Property And Triggering the $600k Lawsuit

On May 31, Macy’s legal team filed a counterclaim, denying, “generally and specifically, each and every allegation” of wrongdoing. The filing argues that the entire case should be dismissed with prejudice, since Brown was “careless, reckless, and negligent in and about the matters and things alleged.”

Brown’s original complaint said that “in accessing the Brown Property, Macy’s workers damaged the gate that connected the two properties” and caused “damage to and destabilization of the hillside itself.” The claim also said that Macy personally admitted to his neighbor that he was the one who instructed the workmen to act so.

However Macy’s new filing, obtained by PEOPLE, argued that his actions were “committed due to an immediate and imperative necessity… to protect persons from death or serious bodily injury or to protect land or chattel from destruction or injury.”

This is coming after Macy’s wife Felicity Huffman was sentenced as one of several parents who served time for being involved in the 2019 “Operation Varsity Blues” college admissions cheating scandal.

Huffman, 60, plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. She was released after 11 days of jail time to a year of supervision and paid $30,000 fine for her involvement in the crimes.
