All My Children News: Susan Lucci And Alicia Minshew’s Exciting New TV Show

If there’s anything that All My Children fans love the most, it’s a good All My Children reunion. Actually, make that a good soap reunion with their favorite stars from all across the board. The Queen of daytime television Susan Lucci (ex-Erica) and Alicia Minshew (Ex-Kendall) along with Terri Conn (ex-Katie, As The World Turns) will appear in a new faith-based musical series on Amazon Prime called Wholly Broken. It was created by Long Island-based performer Tom Humbert. Here’s what you need to know.

All My Children  – All My Children Alums Susan Lucci And Alicia Minshew Are Joining Forces

According to reports, Susan will play a congresswoman whose husband was killed by a drunk driver. After one thing leads to another, she tries to fix her broken relationship with her neglected son, who she finds out has several addictions and is bipolar.

The new series is based on the 2016 film of the same name. It also began streaming on Amazon Prime back in September. It film centered around Pastor Tom (also played by Humbert), a recovering alcoholic minister who was trying to pick up the pieces of his life. The movie won the Best Feature Film award at the International Film Festival in Manhattan back in 2017.

Tom Humbert also recently said that he is excited to have Susan Lucci cast in the series, saying that it has always been a dream of his to work with the queen of daytime television. It’s without a doubt that a lot of people would say the same

All My Children  – Susan Lucci Will Have A Chance To Showcase Her Singing Voice Again

The series will begin shooting in The Hamptons later this summer and will be somewhat of an All My Children reunion for Susan and Alicia. If fans can recall, Alicia played Susan’s daughter for eight years on All My Children. She will play Tom’s estranged wife in the series.

And while fans will get a chance to hear Susan Lucci sing on the show, let’s not forget that she’s no stranger when it comes to musicals. In fact, she’s got quite the voice! Back in December of 1999, Susan played Annie Oakley opposite Top Wopat in the three-week Broadway musical, Annie Get Your Gun.
