The Bold and the Beautiful Alum Jacob Young Calls For An All My Children Reboot

There’s been a lot of fuss about a possible “All My Children” reboot and many of former cast members of the defunct soap opera is calling for its revival. One of them is Jacob Young.

Young, who used to play the role of JR Chandler on “All My Children,” expressed that he’s willing to reprise his role on the soap, if ever it gets a reboot.

The actor responded to a tweet from Dan J Kroll who said that Young needs to return as JR if ABC decides to bring back AMC.

“You know what Dan, I think that’s the most intelligent post I’ve heard regarding this reboot. Let’s let David’s work live on! I’m am fully onboard with helping to execute that. I know @Susan_Lucci @JillLarsonAMC @wwilley all agree! Love to you brother!,” Young said.

Young’s Career and Other Projects

Aside from his role on “All My Children,” fans may recognize him from his other projects. He portrayed Rick Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 1997 to 1999. During his stint, he earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor in 1999.

Later on, he played the role of Lucky Spencer on “General Hospital,” from 2000 to 2003 and won a Daytime Emmy award for it. He then landed a role on “All My Children” as JR Chandler from 2003 to 2001. Moreover, He was dubbed as the Sexiest Soap Star by People Magazine. He reprised his role on “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2011 and after 7 years, he was dropped to a recurring capacity.

ABC Boss Comments On AMC Reboot

The call for a revival of AMC has become louder after ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke floated the idea that there could be a reboot. At The ABC’s winter press tour, Burke said there” might be some conversation” about possible reboots.

Susan Lucci Open To Reprise Her Role On AMC

Last year, Susan Lucci, who’s also a former cast member of “All My Children” said she’s open to returning to the soap if it gets a reboot. In an interview with Access Daily, the actress said, “Reboots are everywhere. Fans are clamoring for that. Certainly, I will always listen and it’s never ruled out. I love the character so much.”

    I would be in 7th heaven if they brought back AMC. I have missed that soap so much. Hopefully it will come back and with the same writers and not the ones from B&B….lol
