BBC Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal that the show’s 60th anniversary is this year and the show has been dropping hints about some bombshell developments that could take place in recognition of the amazing milestone.

A Corrie producer told Daily Star Sunday that the show may be able to secure Julie Goodyear’s return to once again portray legend, Bet Lynch. Bet Lynch was played by Julie Goodyear who is now 77-years old. Her run on the cobbles began in 1966 and she was then on from 1970–1995 and from 2002–2003.

Patrick and Mary Lynch were Bet’s parents and she was raised in a strict Roman Catholic home after her dad left when she was just six months old.

Later Bet becomes a junior barmaid in the Rovers Return Inn. At one point she managed the bar by herself for five years. When she could not get the money needed to buy the pub she exited in 1995 in the back of a taxi wearing her leopard-skin outfit, but not knowing where to go.

Bet Lynch Never Had A Chance To Meet Her Son

Bet gave a child up for adoption and in 1975 she learned her 19-year-old son had died in a car crash. She discovers that the boy once found her but left without introducing himself because he was disturbed at her overly sexual behavior.
