Dev was devastated over his daughter’s new troubles and tried to do what he could to rectify the situation. He took both Asha and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) and withdrew them from the public school system. He paid hefty tuition to have them both enrolled at a private school, confident that the video wouldn’t affect Asha there. However, he was wrong and Asha discovered on her first day of school that everyone there already knew about her striptease.

Then, Dev hired a reputation management company to try and repair the damage that the video had done to Asha. Both the school tuition and the reputation management company cost Dev a lot of money. Much more than he could afford, which is something he is trying to keep secret.
