Fans may recall that Nina and Seb have been brutally attacked by Corey and his pals. The attack left Nina with serious injuries and led to the death of Seb. Since then, Corey has been considered as the prime suspect but Asha has continued to defend his innocence.

But Asha is hiding a secret. She despises Corey and finally tells her twin brother Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) about it when he confronts her over her misguided loyalty. Asha admits that she’s just pretending to be on his side but he believes that Corey is guilty. She plans to keep Corey’s trust until she gets to the truth.

Asha is determined to see justice served and teams up with Seb’s mum, Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) after her son’s funeral. The latter buys drugs from a dealer and passes them to Asha. She then meets up with Corey in the flat that they shared together. She lures Corey to spend the night with her and tells him that she thinks he’s innocent.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Corey’s Brent Unfortunate Accident

Asha spikes Corey’s drink and he loses consciousness. She tries to look through his phone to search for evidence. But Corey regains his consciousness quickly. Although he’s still disoriented, he begins to stagger around the flat. Meanwhile, Abi arrives with Nina to check what’s happening. Corey tries to move past Abi, Nina, and Asha and ends up losing his balance and falls down the stairs.

Will Asha, Nina, and Abi do what’s right and call an ambulance? Or will they leave Corey for dead so he pays for what he’s done to Seb and Nina?

Nina and Seb’s attack storyline was inspired by the tragic story of Sophie Lancaster, a 20-year-old goth who was murdered because of how she dressed in 2007.

Gorey said that the storyline has been a real challenge for her. “It has been amazing to be involved in the storyline,” she said. “My heart really goes out to Sophie Lancaster and her mum and parents and anyone in similar situations,” she added.
