Bristol Palin Blames Maks Chmerkovskiy For Giving Her Tension After She Survived Dancing with the Stars Elimination

Why does Maks Chmerkovskiy Hate Bristol Palin? This is something, like the rest of us, she’ll like to know.

In her latest appearance on the Aug. 26 episode of Cheryl Burke’s ‘Sex, Lies and Spray Tans’ podcast, the 33-year-old chatted about her time on the show’s 13th season.

When asked whether any of her competitors or pro dancers rolled her eyes at her after she and her partner Mark Ballas survived elimination, Bristol quickly named Chmerkovsky. She said, “Oh, Maks. Oh, he hated me so much.” She even went ahead to claim that the moment was “recorded” by cameras. So yeah, I guess this accusation’s got a solid proof to back it.

Speaking on why Chmerkovsky reacted like that to her win, she opined, “[It was] probably just because we kept going through. I mean, he was real nice at the beginning, but it was one of those things where as we kept going through.”

Palin added, “I definitely felt the tension from him. I forgot about that. Because the further we went along in it, the more it was like, ‘Oh gosh, okay.'”

Chmerkovsky’s people quickly refuted this claim in a statement to PEOPLE, saying, “Maks doesn’t hate anybody and he’s never hated Bristol. His bad boy reputation was overblown by the media at the time.”

“He was really good at dancing and he was really competitive, which are two important qualities you need to be on Dancing with the Stars,” his rep added. “Maks was disappointed because he and Brandy were on their way to win that year. He and everyone else in America were taken by surprise.”

Okay, glad that all got cleared up before it turns into a Kardashian warfare.
