Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy seek to stay real with their fans. And that includes their most challenging times.

But the Dancing With The Stars duo showed their sense of humor in joking about packing the car for a vacation, noted Us magazine.

And in an Instagram post that reflected a team effort, Peta and Maks shared their vacation struggles. “On our way to make ‘magical’ memories at a cottage while pretending we didn’t almost get divorced 3 times while packing up the car,” joked the Dancing With the Stars duo. And a video showed the two seated silently in their car. 

However, Murgatroyd, 37, offered more details. And the DWTS fan fave shared that all their efforts focused on “the kids. If you haven’t had one of these you ain’t doing it right.” However, Peta and Chmerkovskiy, 43, received lots of support from their their celebrity friends. For instance, Candace Cameron Bure called their challenges “SO relatable.”

However, Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy managed to set out on their first vacation as a family of four amid the challenges.

The DWTS duo co-parent 6-year-old son Shai and welcomed their second baby in June. And in a special post, Maks wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to me. #MadeInPeta,” reflecting the baby’s birth on the holiday. The couple named their baby Rio John.

However, the couple went through challenges to welcome their babies into the world. And after tying the knot in 2017, Peta shared that they looked forward to their rainbow baby after miscarriages.

However, she admitted that it felt like a “positively scary moment for me because it wasn’t something that I was sure of. It wasn’t something that I knew would last.

I definitely wanted to, just sort of, hide my emotions a little bit and just kind of put a protective shield around myself to not let myself get too excited before this [turned] into something real.”

But as Peta and Maks adjust to life with two young children, they feel that it’s “no joke,” as Murgatroyd admitted. However, she added of her new baby, “This little boy though has blessed us with endless eyebrow scowls, smirky smiles, huge poops, the most curious eyes and chunky thighs! He’s my milk monster, my guy can eat for hours. A month of pure bliss with a side of sleepless nights.”
