Carrie Ann Inaba Devastated By Dancing With The Stars Co-Star’s Death

Dancing With The Stars icon Carrie Ann Inaba is mourning the loss of her former co-star.  After her very public and lengthy battle with cancer, Shannen Doherty passed away on July 13th.  The actress is well-known for her early roles on the hit shows Charmed and Beverly Hills 90210, but she also competed on DWTS Season 10 and had a lasting impression on Inaba.

Shannen Doherty – Passes Away

Charmed star Shannen Doherty’s tie on Dancing With The Stars was brief, but also memorable.  Doherty competed on the ABC dance competition in 2010, and was paired up with pro dancer Mark Ballas. 

Despite having such a talented partner, Shannen was the first celebrity to be eliminated that season.  A few years later Shannen confirmed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

In 2015 Shannen Doherty went public with her scary breast cancer diagnosis, after a long battle and months of treatment she went in to remission in 2017.  But, a couple years later it was revealed that the Charmed actress’ cancer had returned and had spread to her bones. 

In 2023 Shannen revealed that she had to have another surgery and have a tumor removed from her brain.  Sadly, after almost a 10 year battle, the DWTS alum succumbed to her illness this week.

Carrie Ann Inaba’s – Emotional Farewell Message

Carrie Ann Inaba took to Instagram and shared an emotional tribute to her friend and former Dancing With The Stars co-star. 

Carrie Ann wrote, “She had a peace in her eyes that I admired. She never gave up living or fighting for her life, even though you could see she had come to terms with her own mortality. The courage it takes to be able to see your own ending while living your life with passion and your warrior spirit front and center is not easy… I wish her eternal peace, that she rests easy now, knowing she inspired so many of us.”
