Dancing With The Stars: Barry Williams ‘Focused’ On Comeback

Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) 2023 has returned The Brady Bunch to the spotlight, thanks to its star Barry Williams. And Barry reflected on what the most recent episode meant to him.

However, another DWTS contestant offered her own insights on awaiting those judges scores. Keep reading to learn more (spoiler alert!).

Dancing With The Stars – Brady Bunch Star Scores Comeback

Barry Williams of the Brady Bunch selected 1968 as his most memorable year for Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) theme week. However, Williams succeeded in making this year a memorable one as well. And though Barry and his pro partner Peta Murgatroyd struggled last week, they achieved a comeback with their paso doble. The duo scored six points higher, getting a score of 24, noted TV Insider.

And Peta gushed, “I’m so proud of him. Dress rehearsal went really well. We found out two days ago we were going last. It’s a compliment to close out the show. We had a great song [‘Born to Be Wild’ by Steppenwolf] to end with. It was powerful and uplifting.”

But Barry noted that closing the show meant overcoming obstacles. And he explained, “It’s not the easiest place to be because we’re staying ready and warm throughout the show. We have to keep our mind in it, and there are a lot of distractions. You’ve got to keep focused.”

DWTS Spoilers – A Tribute To Len Goodman

Meanwhile, Murgatroyd and other pro dancers created a tribute to the late Dancing With The Stars judge Len Goodman tribute. And the waltz to Moon River also showed off the choreography of  husband-and-wife duo Val Chmerkovskiy (still in the competition with Xochitl Gomez) and Jenna Johnson. But that felt challenging emotionally for Peta.

And she shared, “I did watch the tribute, which I shouldn’t have because it was really tough [emotionally]. I couldn’t look at Carrie [Ann Inaba] and Bruno [Tonioli] – especially when Bruno doubled over.” But Williams and Murgatroyd will return next week.

And to her surprise, Alyson Hannigan will return with Sasha Farber. In the wake of receiving a 21 for their Viennese Waltz, the actress felt certain that she would bid farewell to the show. “Oh, I was saying goodbye to Sasha,” recalled Hannigan. “I was thanking him. ‘It was great dancing with you.’ I thought for sure this was it.”

But Farber remained hopeful. And the DWTS pro dancer noted, “She was saying goodbye. But I was like, ‘Hey, hang on. Alfonso [Ribeiro, host] says this is not the bottom three.’ If it’s not us, then we’re not in the bottom three.” However, Alyson still worried, noting that Alfonso used the phrase “not necessarily.”

And when she remained on Dancing With The Stars, the actress thanked her Buffy fans and followers of How I Met Your Mother for keeping her in the show. But Hannigan expressed her regrets on the departure of Mira Sorvino and pro partner Gleb Savchenko. “I gave her a hug, but haven’t seen her since,” shared Hannigan. “Her family was surrounding her.”
