Dancing With The Stars Fan Favorite Wants To Join Judges Panel!

Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) fans felt stunned when a popular judge suddenly announced his retirement. But even as the shock subsides, a DWTS fan favorite announced his desire to join the panel. And no one knows how that might shake up the show.

Find out which popular pro dancer wants to become a judge. And learn more about the judge who retired. Get all the details below.

DWTS Pro Dancer Wants A Chance To Judge

From dance floor to judge’s panel? DWTS fan favorite pro dancer Gleb Savchenko wants to make that journey. And he tossed his hat in the Dancing With The Stars judge ring when Len Goodman retired. Gleb talked with the Sun about his dreams.

However, Savchenko didn’t make his desires known until after the long-time judge quit. But when Goodman announced his retirement, the pro dancer, 39, expressed his ambitions. “Listen, I’d love to, at some point, step into Len’s shoes and get in his seat,” admitted Gleb.

However, the pro dancer doesn’t want to make the switch permanent. Instead, he offered a unique twist on the judging concept. “And at least for a couple of weeks, give me a shot,” pleaded Gleb to producers. But he thought other dancers should join him.

Gleb Savchenko Wants To Change DWTS Judging Format

“And I think Dancing With the Stars should give each pro a shot and make it fun,” added Gleb. “Each pro goes and judges one of the episodes. That would be fun.” But Savchenko also looks forward to working as a professional dancer in the near future.

“I definitely have a couple more seasons, couple more years,” he estimated. “Maybe five years more in me to do this. Every season I try to do better and I try to be more creative. With time [spent] on the show, you learn a lot of things. You learn how this whole mechanism works,” added Savchenko.

But even as Gleb looks forward, he still will miss Len. The 78-year-old judge began with the show in 2005. But Goodman explained his reasons. “I’ve decided I’d like to spend more time with my grandchildren and family back in Britain,” he shared. And Len received a standing ovation from the cast, audience, and other judges, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.

DWTS Judge Len Goodman Made ‘A Huge Impact’ On Pro Dancers

Gleb paid tribute to Len. “Oh my God, I love Mr. Len. We’re gonna miss him so much,” gushed the pro dancer. And Savchenko added, “He’s made such an impact on the show throughout all [of] his DWTS career.”

As a judge, Len made a big impression on Gleb as well. “He’s made a huge impact on me too,” added Savchenko. “He made me a better dancer because every time he would give a critique to my celebrity [partner] and [me], we would take it all on board, we go into the room, work on this and we improve.”
