Dancing With The Stars: Mauricio Umansky Talks Exit, Ariana Madix Reacts To First ’10’!

Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) contestants Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater have opened up about their stunning elimination. And the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star and his pro partner admitted they felt shocked.

But another DWTS contestant, Ariana Madix, shared her emotional response to a judge’s praise and first perfect score of 10. Keep reading for all the details (spoiler alert!).

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) star Mauricio Umansky felt confident after getting a score of 31 from the Dancing With The Stars judges for his Argentine tango. And the RHOBH star and his pro partner Emma Slater received two more points in the Hustle and Charleston group elimination dance.

As a result, Mauricio felt relieved that he didn’t fall to the bottom of the scoreboard on Dancing With the Stars. But when producers added fan votes to the results, the RHOBH star and his pro partner didn’t survive the cut. And the couple talked with TV Insider about their emotions after their exit. 

“I’m shocked,” confessed Umansky about DWTS eliminating him. And Slater added, “It would have been nice to have gone another week.” But she pointed out, “This journey doesn’t last forever. We’ve been aware of that.”

And Emma noted, “We’ve had the mindset that we can only do our best and just go in there and give it our all every single week. Whenever it was going to end, we’d be proud of ourselves.”

However, Slater admitted that the elimination “always feels really upsetting because you realize you don’t get to go into rehearsals the next day and train for the next [dance].” And Mauricio gushed about the experience.

“I really enjoyed this journey,” revealed Umansky. And he shared that he loved it and wanted to continue dancing. As a result, he made a public vow that his elimination from DWTS would “not [mark] the end of my dancing life.”

And the RHOBH star shared that he would consider joining Slater and the other DWTS pros for the tour beginning on January 2024. “Maybe,” qualified Mauricio. “I mean, I really enjoyed this.”

But Emma believes in her partner, declaring that she sees his “future as a dancer. He didn’t have to do this show,” she pointed out. “But he did and he crushed it every single week. I think he’s proof that he could go on tour.”

But as Umansky dealt with his elimination, Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix felt elated. And one judge declared that the Vanderpump Rules star and her pro partner Pasha Pashkov could win the competition. That feedback from DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba made Ariana emotional.

And Ariana called Carrie Ann “a tough critic.” As a result, hearing that praise felt “incredible. I just really want to continue to live up to [what she said],” added Ariana. “And I don’t want to let her down in the weeks to come.”

However, judge Bruno Tonioli gave the pair their first score of 10. And the Vanderpump Rules star confessed, “I could have cried when that happened. Honestly, that was an incredible feeling. It’s hard to process in the moment how that felt because it just means the hard work is paying off. It means that other people are seeing the hard work. There’s no better reward.”
