DWTS: Why Did Sharna & Lindsay Say No To Season 31?

Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) Season 31 fans expected that Disney+ would reveal the pro dancers in late August. Well, the news was delivered but Sharna Burgess and Lindsay Arnold won’t be taking their roles. Read on to find out why and watch a video that explains a bit more. 

DWTS Season 31 Spoilers – Lindsay Arnold And More

Many fans were unhappy to hear that Tyra Banks returns as the host of the show. However, that was offset by the news that a former winner, Alfonso Ribeiro will co-host with her. As for the judges, Derek Hough, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba return. As for the cast, so far leaks revealed the probability of Charli D’Amelio.

Other contestants in Season 31 of DWTS include Heidi D’Amelio, Daniel Durant, Jordin Sparks, and Wayne Brady. As for the pro dancers,  Lindsay Arnold is missing. However, fans will see Alan Bersten, dad-to-be Val Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev. and Bradon Armstong who dances with Jordin. Other names include familiar faces like Cheryl Burke, Emma Slater, and last year’s winner, Daniella Karachi. Sharna Burgess’ name surfaced but under mysterious circumstances.

This week, Sharna told her fans that she stepped away and folks understand that. After all, she is still breastfeeding her new baby, Zane. E! News reported that it was a terribly hard decision for the pro dancer to sit out Season 31. However, she teased an appearance, saying, “I will be there in some capacity…You will see me, but it will just be in a different way.” Hmmm. that sounds rather interesting!

DWTS fans also heard that Lindsay Arnold has similar reasons for not dancing in season 31of the show. 

Lindsay said that saying no to the Disney+ show wasn’t easy. However, she pointed out on Instagram. “You all know that family is the most important thing to me and doing what is best for my daughter is always going to be at the top of my list!” Additionally, other things make her take a step back. 

Sam Works In Utah, Far From LA

The DWTS pro talked about how it’s a huge mission to take her daughter away from her dad. Plus, as he works all the time in Utah, it just seemed like the wrong time to try and battle all the “logistics.” Bear in mind, LA is a long way from home for her. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t be watching the show. Like everyone else, she’s keen to see the hot competition on her screen.
