Soap Star Joins Dancing With The Stars 2019 - Hot Cast Revealed!The new all-star cast for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars is out and yes, there is a daytime television star on the roster! According to new reports, James Van Der Beek, who had appeared on Guiding Light before Dawson’s Creek, will be showing off his fancy footwork on the dance floor this season. Here’s what you need to know.

New Dancing With The Stars Season!

After skipping the spring season, Dancing With The Stars will return on Monday, September 16that 8pm on the ABC network. And from what we can tell already, this upcoming season is going to be a big one. That’s because there are stars from all over the entertainment industry, including television stars, reality stars, singers, athletes and a comedian. The lineup was announced on Good Morning America.

James’ Daytime Television Roots

This will be the first time that James Van Der Beek will be competing on a reality competition show. Before James became a household name thanks to both Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill, he was a daytime television vet. He appeared on both Guiding Light and As The World Turns as his character Stephen Anderson back in 1995.

It’s without a doubt that soap fans can’t wait to see James in action along with his fellow competitors as they compete for the coveted mirror ball this season. The complete line up of stars includes:
